Priest

fdsorthodox@gmail.com

Father Spyridon Jajeh was raised in the San Francisco area—his parents moved there from Ramallah, Palestine. In his teen years, at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church with Fr. Gregory Ofiesh, he was active with SOYO and as a young acolyte. He and his wife, Jennifer, were married there as well.

He attended the University of the Pacific and graduated with a Doctorate in Pharmacy. Currently he is an adjunct professor at UOP, teaching clinical pharmacology. He is also a Director of Pharmacy at an acute care hospital in Stockton, Board Certified in Clinical Nutrition, and a specialist in Sterile Intravenous Medication preparation. Father Syridon is on the editorial board of a professional pharmacy journal and involved in clinical studies with publication.

Father Spyridon was ordained to the Diaconate in 2001 and to the priesthood in 2011 and served pastorally in various capacities and parishes in the Bay Area. For the last almost two years, he has had the blessing of serving the sisters at the Holy Assumption Monastery in Calistoga.

Father Spyridon and Khouria Jennifer have three children: Christian, who just finished law school and is married to Lauren; Sophia, who works in talent recruiting; and Anthony whoa is studying math at UC Davis.

Father enjoys the great outdoors (camping, fishing, hiking, etc). Vegetable gardening is a passion as well. He tries to keep fit (”trying is the keyword here,” he says), especially with bike riding. Father says ”I am certainly bookish and am always keen on finding a new read and trying to learn a thing or two about the world, people, and our condition."
